Vitamin C
This test measures the level of Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, in your blood. It helps determine if you are getting enough of this nutrient to support healthy skin, bones, and blood vessels. Doctors often order this test to investigate unexplained joint pain, gum bleeding, or fatigue that might indicate a severe deficiency called scurvy. While it identifies low levels, this test cannot determine the specific reason for a deficiency or diagnose other nutritional problems on its own.
