Creatinine, 24-Hour Urine
This test measures the total amount of creatinine, a waste product from normal muscle activity, that leaves your body in urine over a full day. Because kidneys filter creatinine from the blood, this result helps show how efficiently your kidneys are removing waste. It is often used to verify that a 24-hour urine sample was collected correctly or to help calculate your overall kidney function. However, this test cannot identify the specific cause of kidney stress or diagnose a disease by itself.
