It helps show how well your kidneys are filtering blood, because healthy kidneys keep protein inside the body while damaged ones often let it leak into the urine. Doctors use this result to check for signs of kidney disease or to monitor conditions that stress the kidneys. However, this test alone cannot determine the specific cause of kidney damage or diagnose a permanent condition without further medical evaluation.
