C-Peptide, 24-Hour Urine
This test measures the total amount of C-peptide released into your urine over a full 24-hour period. Since the pancreas creates C-peptide at the same time as insulin, this measurement shows how much insulin your body produced on its own during that day. It helps doctors evaluate how well the pancreas is working and can assist in distinguishing between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes or identifying causes of low blood sugar. However, this test does not measure your current blood sugar level and cannot diagnose a condition by itself without additional blood tests.
