> This test measures the amount of creatine passed in your urine over a full 24-hour period. It helps show whether your muscles are breaking down or losing mass, which can happen during fasting or due to certain medical conditions. Doctors use this measurement to help evaluate muscle-wasting disorders, such as muscular dystrophy or severe inflammation. However, a high level of creatine does not diagnose a specific disease by itself and requires further testing to find the underlying cause.
