Creatine and Creatinine, 24-Hour Urine

This test measures the amount of creatine, a nutrient used by muscles, and creatinine, a waste product from muscle activity, in a 24-hour urine sample. It helps show how well your kidneys are filtering waste and whether your muscles are breaking down normally. These results assist doctors in ruling out kidney dysfunction or muscle-wasting conditions. However, this test cannot diagnose the specific underlying cause of kidney or muscle issues by itself.
