Insulin

This test measures the amount of insulin in your blood, which is a hormone made by the pancreas to help your body use sugar for energy. It helps show whether your body is producing too much insulin, which can cause low blood sugar, or if your body has become resistant to insulin. This measurement assists in ruling out pancreatic tumors or specific metabolic disorders. It does not diagnose diabetes by itself and must be reviewed along with blood sugar levels to provide a complete picture.
