# Estradiol

> This test measures the level of estradiol, a primary form of the hormone estrogen produced by the ovaries. It helps show how well the ovaries are functioning and is commonly used to evaluate fertility or monitor menstrual cycle health. These results assist in identifying the causes of irregular periods or difficulties with conception. However, this specific test may not be sensitive enough for men, children, or postmenopausal women and cannot diagnose a specific condition on its own.
