Complete Blood Count (CBC) With Differential, Reflex to Peripheral Smear Review
This test measures the number and types of cells in your blood, including red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. It helps show whether you have signs of common conditions such as infection, anemia, or problems with blood clotting. If the initial count detects abnormal cells, a specialist reviews a sample under a microscope to help identify specific blood disorders. However, this test alone cannot diagnose the underlying cause of every irregularity and often requires follow-up testing for confirmation.
