Rh Typing
This test looks for a specific protein called the Rh factor on the surface of your red blood cells to determine if your blood type is positive or negative. It is essential for ensuring safety during blood transfusions and helps doctors monitor pregnancies where a mother and baby might have incompatible blood types. The results help identify the risk of immune reactions that could harm a developing fetus or cause complications after receiving blood. However, this test only identifies your Rh status and does not diagnose specific blood disorders or determine your ABO blood group by itself.
