> This test measures the level of Complement C3, a protein that helps your immune system fight infections. It helps show if your immune system is currently overactive or being used up too quickly due to inflammation. Doctors often use these results to help evaluate autoimmune disorders like lupus or kidney inflammation. However, this test cannot diagnose a specific condition on its own and must be reviewed alongside other symptoms.
