# Thyroglobulin Antibody

> This test measures the amount of antibodies in your blood that target thyroglobulin, a specific protein found in your thyroid gland. It helps show whether your immune system is mistakenly attacking the thyroid, which is a key sign of autoimmune conditions like Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. However, a positive result does not tell you how well your thyroid is currently functioning and must be reviewed alongside other thyroid hormone tests.
