> This test measures the total level of antibodies your immune system has created against the Hepatitis A virus. It helps show whether you have immunity to this liver disease, which can result from either receiving a vaccine or recovering from a past infection. However, because it combines different antibody types, this test cannot distinguish between a current active infection, a past resolved infection, or protection from vaccination.
