> This test measures the amount of arsenic, a toxic heavy metal, currently circulating in your blood. It helps show whether you have been exposed to high levels of arsenic within the last few days, which is important if you have sudden symptoms like nausea or abdominal pain. While this measurement helps identify recent poisoning, it cannot detect long-term exposure or exposure that happened more than a few days ago because arsenic leaves the bloodstream quickly.
