Mercury, Urine
This test measures the amount of mercury, a toxic heavy metal, in your urine. It is primarily used to check for exposure to inorganic mercury, which is often found in industrial chemicals, rather than the type found in seafood. This helps show whether you have absorbed harmful levels of mercury that could explain symptoms like tremors or kidney problems. However, this test generally does not detect mercury from eating fish and cannot diagnose specific organ damage on its own.
