Urine Culture, Urology Extended Workup

This test measures the presence of bacteria in the urine to identify specific organisms that may be causing an infection, even when they are found in very low numbers. It is helpful for individuals with complex urinary tract conditions or those using catheters, as it detects bacteria that standard cultures might miss. This analysis helps rule out non-bacterial causes of urinary symptoms. However, it does not identify viral infections or diagnose structural problems within the kidneys or bladder.
