> This test measures the level of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in your blood, a protein produced by the prostate gland. It helps doctors evaluate prostate health and investigate the cause of urinary symptoms. While elevated levels can indicate conditions like an enlarged prostate, infection, or prostate cancer, this test cannot diagnose cancer by itself. Additional testing is needed to determine the specific cause of a high result.
