Antiscleroderma − 70 Antibodies

This test measures the level of Scl-70 antibodies in your blood, which are proteins the immune system sometimes creates by mistake. It helps doctors evaluate symptoms like hardening skin or joint pain to see if an autoimmune disorder is involved. Specifically, this test helps distinguish systemic sclerosis, also known as scleroderma, from other connective tissue diseases. However, a positive result does not confirm a diagnosis by itself and must be interpreted alongside your physical symptoms.
