Vitamin B7
This test measures the amount of vitamin B7, also known as biotin, circulating in your blood. It helps show whether your body has enough of this nutrient to support healthy skin, hair, nerves, and the conversion of food into energy. Doctors use this measurement to determine if a vitamin deficiency is the reason for symptoms like hair thinning, skin rashes, or brittle nails. While it detects low levels, this test alone cannot diagnose the specific medical condition or genetic factor causing the deficiency.
