Cobalt, Plasma
This test measures the amount of cobalt in the liquid part of your blood known as plasma. It helps show whether you have been exposed to unsafe levels of this metal, which can occur in certain workplaces or from specific types of joint implants. Doctors use these results to help rule out cobalt poisoning as the cause of symptoms like skin rashes or breathing trouble. However, this test cannot identify the exact source of the exposure or diagnose specific organ damage on its own.
