Copper, RBC and Plasma

This test measures the amount of copper found in both the liquid part of your blood and inside your red blood cells. It helps show whether your body is storing too much copper or if you have a deficiency, which can cause fatigue, nerve problems, or liver issues. Doctors use these results to help distinguish between nutritional deficiencies and genetic conditions that cause dangerous copper buildup, such as Wilson disease. However, this test alone cannot confirm a specific diagnosis and usually requires additional testing of liver function or proteins to fully understand the cause.
