Antiadrenal Antibodies, Quantitative
This test measures the amount of antibodies in your blood that target the adrenal glands, which sit on top of your kidneys and produce essential hormones. It helps show whether your immune system is mistakenly attacking these glands, a process often linked to symptoms like chronic fatigue and muscle weakness. This measurement assists doctors in determining if adrenal problems are caused by an autoimmune reaction rather than infections or other physical damage. However, this test cannot diagnose adrenal insufficiency by itself and must be reviewed alongside tests that measure actual hormone levels.
