Acetylcholine Receptor (AChR)-binding Antibodies
This test measures specific antibodies in your blood that mistakenly attack the receptors where nerves communicate with muscles. It helps show whether symptoms like muscle weakness or drooping eyelids are caused by myasthenia gravis, a condition that disrupts muscle control. Doctors use this result to help distinguish this autoimmune disorder from other causes of fatigue. However, a normal result does not completely rule out the disease, as some people with the condition do not have these specific antibodies.
