> This test measures specific antibodies in your blood that mistakenly target your body's own DNA. It is primarily used to evaluate symptoms like joint pain, fatigue, and rashes to see if they are caused by Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (Lupus). Finding these antibodies helps doctors distinguish Lupus from other autoimmune conditions. However, this test cannot diagnose a condition by itself, as low levels of these antibodies can sometimes appear in other connective tissue diseases.
