> This test measures the amount of sugar attached to proteins in your blood to estimate your average blood sugar levels over the past two to three weeks. It helps show how well diabetes management is working, especially for patients who cannot rely on standard long-term tests due to blood disorders. This measurement helps doctors distinguish between stable glucose levels and recent fluctuations. However, this test does not show daily blood sugar spikes and cannot diagnose the specific cause of high blood sugar on its own.
