Lupus Anticoagulant With Reflex
This test detects lupus anticoagulants, which are antibodies that mistakenly attack proteins involved in blood clotting. It helps show whether your immune system is creating conditions that increase the risk of dangerous blood clots or recurrent miscarriages. This measurement assists doctors in evaluating for clotting disorders like Antiphospholipid Syndrome. However, a positive result does not confirm a diagnosis of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) by itself, and current use of blood thinners can affect the accuracy of the results.
