Albumin/Creatinine Ratio, Random Urine

This test measures the amount of albumin, a protein, in your urine compared to creatinine, a waste product from your muscles. It helps show whether your kidneys are filtering blood properly, which is a key step in monitoring early kidney stress for people with diabetes. This measurement helps identify potential kidney damage before it becomes severe. However, this test cannot diagnose kidney disease by itself, as temporary factors like recent exercise or infection can also affect the results.
