Pre-Biologic Screening Profile

This profile measures markers in your blood to detect the presence of Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and Tuberculosis. It is primarily used before starting biologic therapies to ensure you do not have a hidden infection that could worsen when your immune system is suppressed by the medication. This testing helps identify active or latent infections that may require treatment before you begin a new drug regimen. However, it does not diagnose the autoimmune disease you are being treated for or determine which medication is best for your condition.
