> This panel measures three specific markers in your blood to check for the Hepatitis B virus and your immune system's response to it. It helps show whether you currently have an active infection, have immunity resulting from a vaccine or past illness, or remain at risk of catching the virus. These results allow doctors to distinguish between a new infection and a chronic, long-term condition. However, this test alone does not measure the extent of liver damage or screen for other forms of hepatitis.
