# Candida Antibodies, IgG, ELISA

> This test measures the level of IgG antibodies your immune system produces against Candida albicans, a common type of yeast. It helps determine if your body has been exposed to this yeast and has mounted an immune response to it. Because this yeast naturally lives in the bodies of many healthy people, having these antibodies does not necessarily mean you have a medical problem. Consequently, this test cannot be used by itself to diagnose an active or deep yeast infection.
