It helps show whether your immune system has built up enough defense, usually from past vaccinations, to prevent these serious illnesses. Doctors use these results to determine if you are susceptible to infection or if you have an immune system problem that prevents you from responding to vaccines properly. However, this test only checks for immunity levels and does not diagnose an active infection.
