Tetanus Antitoxoid Antibodies

This test measures the level of antibodies your immune system has produced to fight against the tetanus toxin. It helps show whether you are currently protected against tetanus, typically to confirm if a previous vaccination was effective. Doctors may also use this result to evaluate if your immune system is functioning correctly by checking its response to vaccines. However, this test does not diagnose an active tetanus infection and is not used to determine immediate treatment for a recent injury.
