Celiac Antibodies tTG IgA and Total IgA With Reflex to tTG IgG and DGP IgG

This test measures specific antibodies in your blood that the immune system creates in response to gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye. It also checks your total antibody levels to ensure the main test results are accurate. This screening helps show whether your body is launching an autoimmune attack on your small intestine, which is the primary sign of Celiac disease. While it helps distinguish Celiac disease from other digestive issues, a positive result typically requires a tissue biopsy to confirm the diagnosis.
