Histoplasma Antibodies, Quantitative, DID
This test measures specific antibodies in your blood that your immune system produces to fight the fungus Histoplasma capsulatum. It helps show whether you have been exposed to this fungus, which is often useful for evaluating unexplained fevers, coughing, or lung problems. By detecting these immune markers, the test helps doctors distinguish histoplasmosis from other respiratory illnesses. However, a negative result does not guarantee you are free of infection, and this test cannot diagnose the condition by itself.
