Chlamydia/Gonococcus/Genital Mycoplasma Profile, NAA, Swab

This test detects the genetic material of specific bacteria, including Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Mycoplasma, and Ureaplasma, found in the genital area. It helps show whether these organisms are causing symptoms such as pain, discharge, or inflammation. By identifying these specific bacteria, the test helps distinguish between sexually transmitted infections and other sources of discomfort. It does not, however, detect viral infections like herpes or HIV, nor does it indicate when an exposure occurred.
