Chlamydia/Gonococcus, NAA With Reflex to Trichomonas vaginalis, NAA

This test detects the genetic material of the bacteria responsible for chlamydia and gonorrhea. If either infection is found, the test automatically checks for Trichomonas vaginalis, a parasite that causes a different sexually transmitted infection. This screening helps determine if these specific organisms are the cause of symptoms like discharge or pain during urination. While it identifies these three common infections, it does not detect other conditions such as syphilis, herpes, or HIV.
