Giardia lamblia, EIA and Ova and Parasites Examination

This test analyzes a stool sample to detect the presence of Giardia lamblia and other common parasites or their eggs. It is useful for investigating the cause of persistent digestive symptoms such as diarrhea, stomach cramps, and nausea. The results help determine if a parasitic infection is present, distinguishing it from other stomach issues. However, this test does not detect every specific type of parasite and cannot diagnose bacterial or viral infections by itself.
