Lipid Panel With LDL:HDL Ratio

This test measures the levels of different fats in your blood, including cholesterol and triglycerides, and calculates the ratio of "bad" (LDL) to "good" (HDL) cholesterol. It helps show whether you have an imbalance of blood fats that could increase your risk of developing heart disease or hardening of the arteries. Doctors use these results to screen for high cholesterol and to monitor how well your body processes fats. However, this test cannot by itself diagnose a blockage or predict a specific heart event.
