FIB-4 With Reflex to NASH FibroSure® Plus

This test uses a calculation based on your age and specific blood markers to estimate the amount of scarring, or fibrosis, in your liver. It is primarily used to evaluate liver health in people suspected of having metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), commonly known as fatty liver. By analyzing these markers, the test helps show whether advanced scarring is likely present or if the liver is at low risk for severe damage. However, this screening tool cannot definitively diagnose the specific cause of liver injury or replace a tissue biopsy in all cases.
