# GlycoMark®

> This test measures the level of 1,5-anhydroglucitol (1,5-AG), a molecule in the blood that decreases when blood sugar levels spike. It helps show how well your body has managed blood sugar after meals over the past one to two weeks, filling the gap between daily finger sticks and long-term A1c tests. This monitoring helps identify frequent high blood sugar episodes that might be missed by other averages. However, this test does not diagnose diabetes on its own and results can be affected by kidney health or certain medications.
