# NASH FibroSure® Plus

> This test analyzes specific substances in your blood to estimate the amount of fat, inflammation, and scarring in your liver. It is primarily used to evaluate liver health in people suspected of having metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, formerly known as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. The results help show whether liver damage is mild or if it has progressed to more serious scarring. However, this test does not diagnose the specific cause of liver injury on its own and cannot replace a liver biopsy in all cases.
