Allergen Profile, Food−Vegetable I
This test measures the level of IgE antibodies in your blood that react to proteins found in specific vegetables. It helps show whether your immune system is overreacting to these foods, which is useful if you experience itching, swelling, or stomach trouble after eating vegetables. This screening helps distinguish potential vegetable allergies from other types of food sensitivities or digestive issues. However, this test cannot diagnose an allergy by itself, as having antibodies does not always mean you will have a physical reaction when eating the food.
