Chocolate/Cacao
This test measures the amount of specific IgE antibodies in your blood that react to cacao, the main ingredient in chocolate. It helps show whether your immune system is overreacting to chocolate, which can explain symptoms like hives, swelling, or stomach pain. This result helps distinguish a potential allergy from non-allergic sensitivities to caffeine or sugar. However, it cannot confirm a diagnosis on its own or identify reactions to other ingredients often mixed with chocolate, such as milk or nuts.
