Egg, Whole
This test measures the amount of specific antibodies in your blood that react to proteins found in whole eggs. It helps show if your immune system treats egg as a threat, which is useful for investigating symptoms like hives or stomach trouble after eating. This result helps doctors distinguish between a potential egg allergy and other types of food sensitivities. However, this test cannot diagnose an allergy on its own or predict how severe a reaction might be.
