Pine Nut, Pignoles
This test measures the level of specific antibodies in your blood that react to proteins found in pine nuts, also known as pignoles. It helps determine if your immune system is sensitive to this food, which is useful if you have experienced symptoms like hives, swelling, or breathing trouble after eating pine nuts. The results help your doctor distinguish a potential pine nut allergy from other causes of your symptoms. However, a positive result does not predict how severe a future allergic reaction might be.
