Phoma betae
This test measures the amount of IgE antibodies in your blood that react to Phoma betae, a type of mold commonly found on plants and in soil. It helps show whether this specific mold is triggering allergy symptoms like sneezing, congestion, or asthma flare-ups. This information helps doctors distinguish a mold sensitivity from other environmental allergies, such as reactions to pollen or dust mites. While the test identifies an immune response, it cannot predict the severity of your symptoms during a future exposure.
