Ovomucoid
This test measures the level of antibodies in your blood that react to ovomucoid, a protein in egg whites that does not break down when cooked. It helps show whether you are likely to react to all forms of eggs or if you might be able to tolerate baked items like muffins and cakes. This distinction helps rule out the need for a strict egg-free diet for some individuals. However, this result alone cannot confirm if it is safe to eat baked eggs without a doctor's guidance or a supervised food challenge.
