Aniseed
This test measures the level of specific antibodies in your blood that react to aniseed, a spice often used in flavoring. It helps show whether your immune system identifies aniseed as a threat, which is useful if you experience symptoms like itching or swelling after eating it. These results help doctors distinguish a potential aniseed allergy from other food sensitivities or reactions to related plants. However, this test cannot diagnose an allergy on its own or predict how severe a future reaction might be.
