Anchovy

This test measures the level of antibodies in the blood that react specifically to proteins found in anchovies. It helps show whether the immune system is overreacting to this fish, which is useful for investigating symptoms like hives, swelling, or stomach upset after eating. These results assist in distinguishing an anchovy allergy from other food sensitivities or different fish allergies. However, this test alone cannot diagnose an allergy or predict how severe a future reaction might be.
