> This test measures the level of specific antibodies in your blood that react to honeybee venom. It helps show whether your immune system is sensitized to honeybees, which is useful for investigating the cause of reactions like excessive swelling or trouble breathing after a sting. Although this helps distinguish a potential allergy from a normal sting reaction, the test cannot predict exactly how severe a future reaction will be.
